Men

Isaiah said that Jesus would be the stumbling block and those who reject Him would be broken to pieces. (Isa. 8:15) While many carnal Christians struggle to cast off the sins of self-exaltation or self-pity they consciously choose to struggle. Their pride keeps them captive to the sins of the world. I found it easy to live as a non-Christian, but when I became more like Christ I have found it very difficult to live with my sin.

Who is your security?

As a biblical counselor, counseling those who are desperate for God, I have discovered that everyone who comes to Christ must make a choice. Those who are bound to sin need to break free by following David’s example. I once told a man that he needed to release the control of his life so that God could break the chains of sin. I read: “But Jesus looked at them and said, ‘What then is this that is written: 'THE STONE WHICH THE BUILDERS REJECTED, THIS BECAME THE CHIEF CORNER stone'? Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces; but on whomever it falls, it will scatter him like dust.’" (Luke 20:17-18) He looked at me perplexed and asked if I would explain it. Afterward, I was not sure if he got it, but he assured me and would try. A few weeks later, I asked: “Are you living clean and broken before God?” He responded: “I get it now. It is like walking to the top of a building and jumping off. I know that the only way I can be delivered from my sin is to take a leap of faith and land upon the Rock, lest the Rock come down and scatter me to dust!” He was getting it. He was becoming like the tax collector. Changing God’s way requires wholehearted faith “In Christ!”

Men's Breakfasts, Retreats, and Seminars

Paul penned a letter of correction to the Corinth after it was reported that Corinthians had a morality problem to such a degree that the people in the church were committing sins that did not even exist in the world. In God’s eyes sexual sins are a form of personal idol worship. These men's events will focus upon a man's need to hear straight talk from one who has been in bondage and learned how to be set free from the chains of sin.

Changing God's Way men's devotional and WORKBOOK

Excerpt: "TV, the Internet, Pornography, Magazines at the grocery stores, walking the mall and erotic billboards bombard the mind. Our culture evokes lusts in the hope to elicit a monetary response. The motto; “Sex sells!” Watching a movie with my wife one night and a woman approaches a food counter wearing a halter top and tight slacks. A man cues behind gazing her up and down. He then steps back and gives a longer leering look from top to bottom. My wife turns to me and says: “Why are men such pigs?” Without an answer, I thought to myself: “I am one of those pigs!” When a man’s eyes are not checked, controlled by our will, the mind will continually seek lusts that feed sin." Many Christian men are weak in faith or have fallen away because they have not completely died “In Christ!” This devotional and workbook are for every man who has struggled with sexual sins and temptations. They are designed for individual or men's group use.
